Well, could be worse.

10 March 2011

So I was sitting in traffic this morning, which is nothing particularly new for the Raleigh/Durham area. Except that traffic usually happens at night. And most of us who have lived here for a while have figured ways around it, or at least we think we have. Traffic in the morning most likely means an accident on the freeway, and that’s never a good thing.

When I finally did make it to the bottleneck, I saw a Jeep Wrangler on its side, smashed up against the guardrail, and a mid-90s Toyota sedan with front-end damage. It looked like the Toyota had hit the Jeep, flipped it, and rammed it into the guardrail. It looked like both drivers were on their feet, though, so I don’t think anyone got hurt too badly.

It does make you think, though — whatever kind of day you’re having, it could be worse. I mean, at least you’re not the one looking at the undercarriage of your Jeep while a bunch of slack-jawed yokels drive by and stare, right? (For the record, I was one of the latter).

So, however your day is going so far, remember. It could be a lot worse.
